Vice President, Controller

Mike Carreon is US Airways’ vice president, controller. As principal accounting officer, Carreon is responsible for the company’s accounting, financial systems, reporting and control functions. In April 2003, Carreon also assumed responsibility for the company’s purchasing functions.

Previously, Carreon joined America West in December 1994 where he served as senior director of corporate audit. Prior to joining America West, he served nine years at United Airlines in accounting and audit-related management positions and five years in the audit services practice of Arthur Andersen & Co. in Chicago.

Carreon is a certified public accountant and holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Loyola University of Chicago.
