Senior Vice President, Technical Operations

David Seymour is senior vice president, technical operations and reports to Chief Operating Officer, Robert Isom. In addition to overseeing his current duties, which include maintenance planning, supply chain, engineering, quality assurance and aircraft acquisitions, he also oversees maintenance production, which includes line and base maintenance.

Seymour brings more than two decades of logistics and operational experience to US Airways. He began his career as an infantry officer in the U.S. Army followed by numerous management positions in purchasing, inventory management, distribution and finance. Seymour’s aviation career began with the former America West Airlines in 1999 as director of materials. He was later promoted to senior director, materials and planning, which included oversight of all aircraft material requirements and the management of all repairs and vendors. From December 2002 to April 2008 Seymour served as vice president, operations control and planning, overseeing the airline’s Operations Control Center and the crew resources and scheduling functions. Most recently, he served as vice president, technical services.

Seymour holds a master's of management in marketing and transportation from Kellogg Graduate School of Business, Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematical science of operations research from the U.S. Military Academy.
