Take Flight Certificate is a voucher that can be redeemed for a dollar-based option good towards a one-way or roundtrip ticket.

If you choose the roundtrip coach ticket option the original oversold flight segment (origin & destination) determines the region requirements:

  • Region 1 includes the Contiguous 48 states
  • Region 2 includes Canada, Central America, Mexico, Caribbean and region 1
  • Region 3 includes Alaska, Hawaii, Europe and regions 1 and 2

If you choose the dollar-based option:

  • You may use it toward the price of 1 one way or roundtrip ticket in any class of service. If the price of the ticket is greater than the value of this certificate, you simply pay the difference. If the price of the ticket is less than the value of the certificate, there is no residual value.

Instructions for redemption

  • You can redeem your Take Flight Certificate at any US Airways Ticket Office or ticket counter.
  • Travel is subject to availability as seats are limited and may not be available on every flight.
  • Present the Take Flight Certificate at the time of redemption.
  • Take Flight Certificates may not be used on usairways.com or at a travel agency.

General information and restrictions

  • Voucher must be redeemed within one year from date of issuance.
  • May be transferred to another individual prior to redemption.
  • May not be combined with other credits, vouchers or certificates.
  • The Take Flight Certificate and subsequent tickets issued against it have no cash value, are non-refundable and nonreplaceable.
