Email SPAM Filters

Check your SPAM filter settings. You may be unintentionally blocking our emails!

AOL users:
Go to Keyword - 'Mail Controls' then to 'Settings.' Make sure the SPAM filter is receiving the email.

AOL 9.0 users:
Go to Keyword - 'Mail Controls' then to 'Read Mail.' At the bottom of the 'Read Mail' page, click 'Manage Mail.' From there, click on the SPAM folder.

MSN Hotmail users:
1. In the upper right hand corner click 'Options.'
2. Select 'Junk email protection'
3. Click on 'junk email filter.'
4. Choose your junk email filter level:

  • Low - obvious junk email is caught.
  • Enhanced - most junk email is caught.
  • Exclusive - you will only receive email from addresses appearing in your contacts, service announcements from Hotmail and messages you have consented to receive from MSN.

Yahoo users:
Yahoo's mail system automatically filters the majority of incoming bulk or commercial email directly to the bulk mail folder. If you receive mail in the bulk mail folder that you would like in your inbox, you can set up a filter to redirect the mail. You can find more information on how to do this at Yahoo-filters help.

Outlook 2003 users:
1. On the Tools menu, click Options.
2. On the Preferences tab, under email, click Junk email.
3. Select the protection level that you want.

  • No protection - Although this turns off the automatic junk email filter, Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 will continue to evaluate messages by using domain names and email addresses on your 'Blocked Senders' list, and messages will continue to be moved to your junk email folder.
  • Low - If you don't receive many junk email messages and want to see all but the most obvious junk messages, you should select this option.
  • High - If you receive a large volume of junk email messages, you should select this option. However, you should periodically review the messages moved to your junk email folder, because some wanted messages may be moved there as well.
  • Safe Lists Only - Any email messages sent from someone not on your 'Safe Senders' list or sent to a mailing list not on the 'Safe Recipients' list will be treated as junk email messages.
