Important information about US Airways and America West’s Fare Class realignment
Beginning September 1, 2006, US Airways will be making the following change, which you’ll receive as a schedule change
through your GDS:
- Expanding fare classes so that each operating carrier has the same booking classes
If you do not accept the schedule change and cancel all old segments, your clients will experience problems with:
- Web check-in
- Airport kiosk check-in
- Automated First Class upgrades through our Dividend Miles program
- Airport kiosk check-in
- Seat assignments
This change will be for travel beginning September 20, 2006. All you need to do to make sure you’ve got the most
up-to-date information is accept the schedule change and cancel all old segments.
Our reservations systems will be merged in 2007 – a major milestone for the new US Airways – and will make booking and
traveling across the combined US Airways/America West system easier for you and your clients.

reservations systems.
