What is changing and when?
On October 30, 2009, we will be adding access to Continental’s Presidents Club, United’s Red Carpet Clubs and Star Alliance lounges to our basic membership plan.
Will I need to pay anything extra to be converted to your new membership plan?
If you have an annual US Airways Club membership on October 30, 2009, you’ll be automatically converted to the new membership plan through the remainder of your membership. If you purchased a lifetime membership prior to 2006, you can upgrade to the new membership plan for $60 (per cardholder) and get access to all clubs.
What price do I pay if I buy a membership now?
If you purchase a membership before October 30, 2009 you will pay the existing membership price. If you purchase after October 30, you will pay the new all-inclusive price. Visit usairways.com/club for pricing details.
When will you charge an initiation fee?
A $50 initiation fee will be charged to all new memberships and renewing memberships that lapsed more than 6 months ago.
Will I be receiving a new membership card?
New cards will be sent to current members whose memberships expire after December 31, 2009. If your membership expires before December 31, 2009, you will get a new card when you renew. If you purchased a lifetime membership, you won’t receive a new card unless you upgrade to an all-inclusive annual membership.
Are there any restrictions when visiting lounges operated by Continental, United Airlines or Star Alliance?
You will need to present your membership card and a valid ID in order to access our partners’ lounges. When visiting a United Red Carpet Club you’ll also need to present a same-day boarding pass for travel on a United Airlines flight. When visiting a Star Alliance lounges you’ll also need to present a same-day boarding pass for travel on a Star Alliance flight
Will I be allowed into United’s Red Carpet Clubs, Continental’s Presidents Clubs and the Star Alliance lounges if bought a membership before October 30, 2009?
