Who can (and can't) use Web Check-in?
Anyone with an electronically ticketed, confirmed reservation. If you're traveling with a lap child or if you are an unaccompanied minor, you won't be able to use Web Check-in. Also, if you're traveling to certain international destinations or on one of our codeshare partners, you should check in at the airport. Groups with more than 8 passengers are required to check in at the airport.
If you can't check in online, please go to an US Airways Skycap (domestic flights only) or the airport ticket counter to check-in to get your boarding pass.
When can I check in online?
You can check-in online as early as 24 hours prior to departure and up to 90 minutes prior to their scheduled departure time.
Can I use Web Check-in if I purchased my reservation with a voucher, Future Travel Award or Dividend Miles?
Yes.
Can I use Web Check-in if I booked my ticket from a travel agency or online agency?
Yes, as long as your reservation is electronically ticketed, you are traveling within the U.S., and you have your US Airways confirmation number or a valid Dividend Miles number in your reservation.
Can I use my Dividend Miles number to access my reservation?
Yes.
What if the name on my passport doesn't exactly match the name on my reservation?
The name on your reservation must match the name on your passport exactly. If there is a discrepancy, go to the airport ticket counter with your passport to update your reservation.
What happens if I am late for my flight after I check in?
If you know you will not arrive at the gate 15 minutes prior to your scheduled departure time, please call Reservations at 800-428-4322. An agent will cancel your reservation and help you to rebook your travel. Fees and penalties may apply.
Can I check my bags if I use Web Check-in?
Yes. Check bags at any US Airways skycap (domestic flights only), the airport kiosk line (where available) or the US Airways ticket counter.
What do I do after I check in?
If you are not checking bags, proceed directly to the security checkpoint and then to your departure gate. You do not need to check-in at the ticket counter or with a gate agent when you arrive.
If you are checking bags take them to at any US Airways skycap (domestic flights only), the airport kiosk line (where available) or the US Airways ticket counter then head to your gate.
Can I change my seat assignment using Web Check-in?
Yes. We display available seats for all of the flights in your reservation. However, sometimes we cannot show every open seat and it will appear that every seat is taken. When this happens, continue the check-in process and we will assign you a seat automatically.
Can I upgrade to First Class when I check in online?
Yes. First, we check to make sure First Class is available on your flight(s). Then, we offer complimentary upgrades to Preferred Dividend Miles members. All other passengers can purchase an upgrade at the gate if seats are available.
Can I standby for a First Class upgrade?
Yes. To standby for First Class, check in online and ask the gate agent at the airport to add you to the standby list.
What should I do if I lose my boarding pass?
Please see an agent at the ticket counter for a new boarding pass (you cannot use the kiosk).
What should I do if my boarding pass does not print correctly?
Make sure that you have tried to use your browser's print feature to print the boarding pass, just like you would print any other web page. A print problem relates to your web browser, network or printer and not the Web Check-in product.
If you are unable to successfully print your boarding passes, please proceed to the airport ticket counter. If you clicked the Check-in & Print Boarding Passes button, you are checked-in.
Do I need to see an agent at the gate if I have a boarding pass?
No. Please go directly to the jet-bridge door when your row number or group number is called for boarding. The agent will then collect your printed boarding pass and validate you are permitted to board.
