The US Airways Corporate Giving Program invests in charitable organizations and initiatives that enhance the quality of life in the airline’s hub and focus cities of Charlotte, Philadelphia, Phoenix, and Washington, DC.

Funding restrictions

  • For profit entities or organizations that are not an IRS 501 (c)(3) charitable organization
  • Organizations not located in and providing services to the major metropolitan areas of Charlotte, Philadelphia, Phoenix and Washington, DC.
  • Individuals, including support for hardship or medical travel, students, researchers or conference fees
  • Auxiliary organizations, third party/ pass-through fundraisers and individuals or organizations fundraising on behalf of a nonprofit, organization or individual
  • Political, labor or fraternal organizations, associations or service clubs (i.e. Junior League, Lions, Rotary, Kiwanis)
  • Sports teams or sporting programs
  • Scouting troops
  • Scholarships and camperships
  • Individual schools or universities including their support organizations (i.e. Boosters, clubs, PTA/PTO’s, athletic teams, bands, performing arts groups, alumni associations or reunions)
  • Competitions, beauty pageants or talent contests
  • Religious organizations, churches, and programs that are purely denominational in purpose
  • Start-up organizations as defined as a nonprofit organizations whose 501(c)(3) status has been granted by the IRS for less than three years
  • Foundations or organizations which are grant-making entities or distribute funds to another nonprofit organization
  • Organizations funded 50% or more by government sources
  • Organizations whose primary mission is funding medical or scientific research
  • Organizations that primarily provide advocacy for issue related topics
  • Organizations that discriminate on the basis of race, color, gender, national origin, marital status, age, disability or veteran status
  • A program or event within the next 90 days
  • Endowment, debt reduction, capital or building campaigns
  • Video or film production costs or sponsorship
  • Purchase of advertising
  • Discounted or waived baggage fees

All requests must be submitted through the on-line application process. The Contributions Committee meets bi-monthly to review requests. No status calls are accepted. Faxed, emailed or incomplete requests will not be considered. There are no submission deadlines to request a contribution and one request per calendar year is required.
