John McDonald is vice president, corporate communications at US Airways where he leads the airline’s worldwide internal and external communications as well as its social media initiatives.

McDonald joined US Airways from United Airlines, where he served as director, operations and hub communications. McDonald’s vast experience in communications spans more than three decades including 11 years with Trans World Airlines as director, media relations and nine years with General Motors in a variety of corporate communications roles.

McDonald earned his Bachelor of Science degree in journalism, with a minor in advertising, from Central Michigan University.
