Travel within the U.S.

Our advertised fares are per person and include U.S. government taxes and fees. A segment is defined as one takeoff and landing.

• $3.80 per flight segment, per passenger (U.S. domestic segment tax)
• $2.50 per enplanement, per passenger (September 11th security fee)
• $3 to $18 per passenger (Local airports assess Passenger Facility Charges -- PFCs -- this amount varies by airport)
• $8.40 per flight segment, per passenger on certain segments beginning or ending in Alaska or Hawaii.
• 7.5% tax on base fare (U.S. transportation tax)

International travel

The U.S. and foreign governments charge taxes and fees for international travel. International fares include government-imposed taxes/fees. Taxes and fees are subject to change at the discretion of each country’s government and may be adjusted for inflation and/or currency fluctuation. You may be required to pay taxes or fees not already collected.

Paper tickets

$50 (per passenger)

There's a $50 fee to convert e-tickets to paper tickets. If a paper ticket request requires express shipping, there's an additional $15 fee.

Lost tickets

$150 (per ticket)

If you've lost your ticket, you must buy an identical ticket for travel and complete a lost ticket application available at any US Airways ticket counter or usairways.com.

Unaccompanied minors: $100 (each way)

Only 1 fee is collected when 2 or more minors in the same family are traveling together. 'Same family' is defined as brother, sister, half-brother, half-sister, step-brother or step-sister.

Domestic travel (within the U.S. and Canada)

No charge for one lap child per paying ticketed passenger (age 18 or older)

International

Up to 10% of the published available adult fare plus international taxes and any surcharges. Taxes and surcharges are not discounted.

Pets: $125 (each way)

Quick ticketing fee

$75 (per passenger)

A non-refundable service fee for Dividend Miles award travel ticketing is charged when the booking date is less than 21 days from the travel date. This fee does not apply to Gold, Platinum and Chairman's Preferred members.

Award processing fee

$25 - 50 (depending on where you travel)

There is a non-refundable award processing fee for all Dividend Miles tickets based on where you travel.

$25 for travel within the U.S. and Canada
$35 for travel to/from Mexico and the Caribbean
$50 for travel to/from Hawaii, Europe, South America and the Middle East

You can redeposit miles from fully unused award tickets within 1 year from the date of issue once the reservation is cancelled.

Equipment that can be substituted for 1st or 2nd checked bag:
Archery, baseball, boogie board, bowling, fencing, fishing, golf, hockey, lacrosse, paintball, parachute, scuba (without tank), ski, snowboard, tennis, vaulting, wakeboard and water skiing. Overweight and oversize charges may apply. Oversize charges waived for golf, hockey, lacrosse, ski, snowboard, vaulting, wakeboard and waterskiing bags.
